Welcome to another edition of the Alandale Advisor!  As always, the Advisor is our effort to make you and your company aware of current insurance industry and business trends to help with your planning and budgeting throughout the year.  We also include our monthly Safety Spotlight to help with your Injury and Illness Prevention Programs.

Governor Schwarzenegger continues to be pro-business concerning his actions with the veto of SB 815, read our first article to find out more.

Sure insurance companies can rebuild fire damaged property, or replace stolen items.  What about your continuing expenses and profit during that period of restoration?  Read a quick article on the importance of adequately reviewing and insuring this line of coverage with your broker to insure your business future.

If you haven't already heard, here is your quick reminder the minimum wage is increasing to $8 an hour effective January 1, 2008.  This represents the highest minimum in the country.

Finally, this month Safety Spotlight focuses on all those "desk jockeys" in your office.  We provide some simple exercises to prevent strain and stress, and hopefully workers comp claims.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Alandale Advisor.  We hope we contribute to the success of your business.

Regards,
