Even More HOPE for Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

[Advisor Home]

The Health Opportunity Patient Empowerment (HOPE) Act, signed by President Bush last month, makes HSA-compatible plans more attractive than before. In a nutshell, the HOPE Act offers the ability to:

> Contribute the maximum allowable amount annually, regardless of the deductible

> Contribute a full year's worth of funding, regardless of the effective date

> Make one-time transfer conversions of FSA, IRA and HRA dollars into an HSA

> Favor employees making less than $100,000 per year
